Hope this is posted in the right place. Still learning my way around.
Another dumb newbie chicken question.
We have 4 roosters total. 1 is in the coop with the hens. He may get kicked out depending on the answer to the question I just posted.
The 3 "outside-the-coop" roosters are each about 6 months old. When they were younger they were fine in the coop, but the older rooster (the dad) is now picking on them, so we let them out of the coop on their own. We have an awesome pyrenees dog that protects our animals and they are safe outside the coop.
Question:
2 of the 3 roosters that are outside the coop hang out together & sleep next to each other.
1 is ostracized. He's always alone and picked on if he comes near the other 2.
Why are the 2 so close but the 3rd is an outcast?
