I happened upon 4 silky roosters someone had heartlessly dropped off on the side of the road to fend for themselves in coyote and Fox country in November. Personally, I just couldn’t imagine doing that to a chicken or any living thing. Regardless,I was able to corral them and brought them to my coop where they stayed separated from my hens for about a week now and they seemed to get along fine. After the first day, I knew I had at least one rooster but I didn’t realize I had three. Well now that they’re in sight of my eight hens they’re absolutely trying to kill each other. Literally. I’m looking for a suggestion on what to do with these three roosters as they can’t be with my hens and they can’t be with each other so this is not working. I hate to put them down. I’m guessing they’re only about a year old. What do people do with chickens that they can’t keep for one reason or another?

Did you want to keep one?

I'd say there's your reason someone dumped them but that's pretty heartless.

You can't rehome mean roosters as nobody wants to pass along mean genes. You'll probably have to cull one or two. Can you somehow determine who is the least aggressive?

Chinese Silkies are more Aggressive then American Silkies, & that's what your boys are, Chinese Silkies.

I raise this type, & sometimes the fighting does get out of hand between the boys especially when young, & going through puberty.
