One of my baby geese is loosing her fluff. She is about 3 weeks old. Yesterday she was not like this. I have no idea what could be going on. Is this normal or is something going on. I take them outside to play in the pool and yard for a few hours every afternoon and change out the wet bedding for dry bedding every day as well. I also ensure they have fresh food and water daily as well.

Wow, no, that’s not normal. I also have 3 week old goslings, and I’ve had many ducklings. They shouldn’t have big bald patches like that. I’ve no idea what would cause it, though, sorry.
One theory that I have gotten from a goose facebook group I’m in is that the other goose she is with is bored or bullying her. I’m beginning to think that is what it is. I know for a fact she has picked on the other goose so I’m wondering if it’s a little bit of revenge. In every other way she is fine. She is eating, drinking, and acting like a normal curious baby goose.

I don't have geese but I was going to suggest the same thing that she is being picked on. I hope that you can monitor her or separate or so that she doesn't continue to get worse. Maybe a partition in their enclosure where they can see each other but not touch each other until she gets better.

I can try that but the stuff that I would use to separate them is currently being used by a hurt hen, her co-momma, and her babies. She was severely hurt by a hawk so she is separated from the flock s she can heal and raise her babies with her co-momma.

Do you have a large dog crate you could possibly keep her in for a while inside the pen where they can still see each other. Some people use that but I would hate to use it in extreme heat or for very long. I have plastic netting that I keep on hand and can separate any of mine if needed by that. It is not very expensive where I am and works well. I hope you can find some way to do it.

The dog crate is what I would use but that is currently being used by the hurt hen and her little family.

I hope you can figure out some place to put the little one so that it does not continually get picked on. If it would get to the point where it would bleed then you have to worry about fly strike if they are outside. Hopefully you can figure something out. Good Luck.
