Hi all!

We hatched some eggs in May for our students, and I took home some of the chicks. Took them home at two days old and they’re three weeks old, today!

The numbered pictures below are at 3 weeks, the unnumbered pictures are two days old.

I am very positive #2 is BR, but I have a slight guess #1 is an Olive Egger. I’m happy to something different than my current flock of only brown EEs.

Also, any help with sexing would be greatly appreciated. I go back and forth with the BR everyday. Thank you all!

If you know for a fact that the barred chick is a pure barred rock, then I think it is a pullet due to its darker overall color than males will have. If you're not sure that it is purebred, then it is too early to tell.

The other is too young to even guess about. 6 weeks is a good time to start.
