3 wk baby chick seems unwell.

Can anyone tell me if it is normal for a chick (a BO) to be just sleepier and quieter than the other chicks with her? I'm not sure if there is something wrong or if I'm just clucking over her too much( So to speak.). She seems to be growing well. There are others that are bigger, but there's another smaller baby that seems quite well. She eats and drinks and is always wanting to sit in my hand.
Their temp. is about 85 to 88.

I already lost a BO last week, and I would hate to lose another.

I would try to observe her to be sure that she is eating and drinking. (I know you said they were, but make sure you actually see it)

check for pasty butt! or blood in the poop (coccidiosis)

No signs of pasty butt, but I also haven't been able to catch her pooing. She's been this way for a week or so and she's still eating and drinking. Just sleepier. She comes running with the other babies for treats, but sometimes she just climbs into my hand and goes to sleep.

85-88 sounds a little warm to me for 3 weeks - I think they should be 80-85 at that age... maybe decrease the temp a few degrees? That's probably not it, though. I wish I could help you... good luck with her! Maybe she's just snuggly and calm? We can hope anyway...

I'll try that. I would hate to lose her, she's just as sweet as can be!
