I have 10 hens who have been laying for about 2 weeks. All are light to darker brown layers. Two eggs have been a white chalky color. When wiped with damp cloth they are brown but then dry white chalky look.
All hens are the same age, eat the same food so...what is up with these chalky eggs?

It's just the bloom. I have a wyandotte that did that for the first few weeks of laying but now the amount of chalkiness has gone down. Her bloom covering the egg was just different than the others.
