Everyone, yesterday I noticed by 30-week old wyandotte appeared frumpy and uninterested in joining the Glock. I had just lost another hen to prolapse and bound egg. I ran out immediately and brought her in. She had a pasty butt and several stools were watery. I checked for issues in her skin and feet and found nothing. I soaked her, dried her, and thought I could feel an egg. I massaged her abdomen and then didn't feel the egg. I inserted my finger and didn't feel an egg, nor did I feel one this morning. She had a full crop, which, when I checked this morning was soft and flat. This mornings stool looks like the attached. When I gave her electrolytes yesterday, she did an open gape several times (attached photo) and was repeating this gape this morning, intermittently. I listened to her chest and can't hear anything gurgling or oss She seems to be pecking and eating at her alfalfa hay, a slight interest in her food but wouldn't eat while I was there. She is in my heated garage. When she does the gape thing, her back end does do a "clenching" motion but when I check the vent, it's not pushing out.

Things I have done:
A Tums in her water
Electrolytes

Thanks to phone spell check you'll have to read between the lines 🤣

As a follow-up. I've given several 20 minute epsom salt baths today and I honestly can't feel an egg anywhere. The stools have become more normal today yet still a little loose. The hen has been eating. She still does a little gaping and is still quiet and inactive but seems to be sitting comfortably. I'm just confused because she's not pushing like there's an egg in there, but I could have sworn it was related to being egg bound. Maybe not. I have no idea right now.
