Just realised out brinsea incubator is out by a couple degrees. Our eggs have been incubating at 35.5 degrees for 22 days now :-( should we give up hope or is there still chance?

What species are they? Chickens should be out by now, though the low temperature would delay them. Also, for most eggs you can candle them and see if they are alive. If they didn't die I expect they have a good, though perhaps decreased, chance of hatching.

It's low but not as bad as I initially assumed. For us archaic system users that's 96 F. The embryos are developing at that temp but at a retarded rate. Your hatch numbers will be greatly reduced and probably wont see chicks until day 24. Can you bump up the heat now for last few days? How are you determining that the until is that far low, the temp display on unit or by a second device? Taking 22 days is pretty common and nothing to worry much about, temp is bit low and should be tweaked up. The days after that hate rate plummets. I'd not say all is lost and would verify temp and turn up incubator to 37.5 C
