I have 9 hens, and most are now laying. Of my 9, I have 3 bantam cochins (TSC chicks), that are 36 weeks old. My black one has been laying for 2 months, she has even gone broody on me, but I broke her and she is back to laying again. One of my buffs has laid a few eggs, gone broody, stopped, but not laying again. This was over a month ago. The other buff has never laid an egg, and does not look like she is ready. Is this normal for bantam cochins?

my bantam cochins are 32 weeks with no eggs yet. I'm told they are late layers, but it would be nice to know aprox. when it might happen. Anyone?

I have a RIR that was born before Easter. I cant keep track of how many weeks that is. Still no eggs. Someone posted on here that "heritage" breeds can lay later. Whatever that means.
I also read a thread on here that some hens never lay.

Ugh
