This little turkey all of a sudden started gasping, wobbling, and falling over. Within 30 minutes it died. Right before I checked it's mouth but saw nothing. Anyone knows what it was?

Was it eating and drinking, Turkey poults need to be repeatedly shown how to eat and drink during the first week, also I put some brown sugar in the water to give them some quick energy until they are eating good about a week or so.

What was the temp in the brooder? Was the water too close to the heat source?

I had 3 chicks in the brooder with it and they were all eating and drinking.

I don't have a thermometer in there but the chicks were all laying under the light at times and sometimes laying a little away from the light. I keep the food and water at the other end so it does get hot.

A thermometer is very important thing to have. The first week their brooder should be at 95 degrees and drop 5 degrees each week after.Going from a 99 degree incubator to a brooder that is 85 degrees is a drastic drop in temp for any chick. They also need a gamebird feed.

X2, I also include chicks and poults in a brother so the poults learn to eat and drink watching the chicks. I make sure to dip their beak in the water so they know it is there.
