She's about 4.5 months old, white Pekin.
She's lightly panting and actively clenching and unclenching her cloaca area.
She started off by wiggling her butt a bit more than normal yesterday, and this morning we noticed the clenching.
No other birds are exhibiting symptoms. She's housed with 5 Anconas, 2 other Pekins, a runner, a roeun, and a Swedish as well as 5 chickens and a rooster.
There is no sign of trauma. There have been no changes in diet or anything else that I can think of.
She's eating waterfowl feed and scratch with greens and oyster shell offered free choice. She's eating and drinking as of this morning.
I haven't isolated her yet, so I'm not sure if she's pooping or what the poop looks like.
We gave her a warm bath for about 15 minutes this morning and I felt around (not in) the cloaca area. It seemed clean and I couldn't feel any egg inside.
I'm hoping to treat her at home. I'd rather not cull her, unless need be.
The birds have rice straw as bedding in a good sized hoop coop and then are in a 625sq ft fenced area during the day

My Runners were laying at 4.5 months old. Do you have an Calcium gluconate always good to have on hand with layers. Usually 1 ml will help get a stuck egg out. TSC carries it. Even if she doesn’t have an egg in there the CG won’t hurt her.
