4 Days Old Baby Chick Sleeping A LOT

When my second chick was being hatched, she’s already been in the egg for too long (40 hours) and the membrane was dried and sticking to her. I helped her get out of it but shes very weak. For the past four days all she’s been doing is sleeping while my other chick is very active and running around. When she’s not sleeping, she will just stand around and only move when she wants to drink. I’ve seen her drink lots of water but have never seen her eat? I’m worried

Looks like your doing all that is possible, If a chick needs an assist hatch, it often means the chances of it surviving are low.

The chick sadly passed away yesterday afternoon it wasn't really surprising though. I thought she was getting better because she had been eating a bit but she got weaker really quickly. It was sad but I couldn't do anything about it
