This is my first time incubating ducklings and chicks. I put in 7 duck eggs and 7 days later I added 30 fertile chicken eggs. This is an experimental run. My incubator is a new, hova bator 1588. The temp has been right where it should be, the humidity tends to run a bit high. I'm wondering, when will I begin to start hearing any sounds from them? (if they are really growing) and is there any major things I need to know about Lockdown?? From what I understand, tomorrow I need to remove the turner, and add extra water to bring the humidity up higher. Leave the incubator closed from then until Monday, which is hatch day... just leave them be and allow them to brake out of their shells on their own. and sometimes it can take several hours...

I'm looking forward to this, but I am a bit nervous. I don't even know if they are really doing anything or not. I thought I saw a duck egg move a bit yesterday tho... so that got me excited. It may have been just my imagination tho.

Thanks for any advice!!!
