We've had 4 eggs since Friday. My dd sat in the coop with the laying hen and put hen and a store bought egg in the nest boxes. They both sat for like an hour...then when my dd put her hand under to get the store bought one our sweet hen stood up "bawk Bawked" and then laid her egg. Practically landed in her hand. Wish I had a video of her face and how she explained it to her father!
3 year old tipped over the box the eggs were in and out it rolled down the driveway...she went screaming after chasing it and smashed it flat with her hand trying to stop it. She cried and cried...then I said, "Let's eat the other ones!"! Tears wiped and she buttered and salted the eggs!
