4-H queston about water color in bators

Okay so tonight we had a meeting with my 4-H kids and they got to see my new Brinsea. Anywhos one of the kids asked where the water was and I told her in the bottom two channels. She stated that it was hard to see and asked why I didnt color it so I could see the level better.

Well I didnt have an answer but I told her I would ask on here. So could you add a drop or two to color the water? I was guessing that if its food grade then it would be fine but thats just me taking a guess. Soo what do yall think?

I'd think it would be fine, just may stain the bottom.

I agree. Food coloring doesn't hurt the chicks!

Well good deal I will add a drop to the water when I fill it up next and I guess we will see
