4-H workbooks for homeschool?

Hi everyone, I'm a librarian who homeschools. We are down to our last kid at homeschooled kid and he has opted to do some 4-H workbooks for his 6th grade year. We're not part of 4-H, but before we ordered wanted to know how good are their poultry and bovine workbooks? Also are there any apps that help track egg laying? My 11 year old chicken tender asked for an app for his phone if there is one.

The production poultry guidebook is very informative but that's really all I use. Our state/club doesn't really have a structured curriculum. @Noraaaaa would you know more about this?
