Hey!
We are new to the AC breed. We know for sure one is a rooster and I am leaning toward the other being one, as well. I need some help with it’s gender. Also, which appears to have better genetics? The one further back in the pics we know for sure. The close up pictures is the one we aren’t sure about.

You have two cockerels. As for which has better genetics, if they came from the same place, their genetics are probably about the same. They both look like nice AC cockerels. If you're trying to decide which one to keep, I would just choose the one with the nicest temperament.

Thank you! I had a feeling they both were. At what age can you really tell with temperaments? I’ve heard they go through a spell sometimes. This is our first year with a rooster, too.

At right about now, four months or so, they really start to get a bit hormonal. You probably want to wait a couple months or more to tell for sure which you like better, because it'll take a while for their temperament to settle after the hormones calm down a bit.
