Hi,
Like so many other chicken fanciers, we bought 4 sexed pullets in february and unfortunately one of them turned out to be a roo. He has been handled since day one and is pretty nice. He is a little skittish, but has not shown any aggression towards us. Is a little hard to catch, but once you get a hold of him, he doesn't mind being held. He is just starting to realize he is a rooster. Started crowing a couple weeks ago and has been doing his best rooster dance for the girls. Unfortunately we live in the city and are not allowed to have roosters. We hoped to get away with having him, as we really enjoy him, but I guess one of our neighbors complained. We had a notice on our door from animal control today saying that he has to go. He is not an excessive crow-er by any means. He is a handsome boy and we would like him to go to a home where he will be able to have his own group of girls. He is our pet and we do NOT want him to be eaten. We are in Denver, CO...out by DIA for those who may be interested. We really need to find him a new home by this weekend! Here is a pic of him from a couple weeks ago...he has gotten bigger and more handsome since this pic. Please respond on this forum, or feel free to text me at 970-590-7265 if you think you might be able to give our sweet boy a good forever home!
