Hello, On Wednesday night a flock of 8 adolescent 4-3 month old guineas ran of somewhere and i could not find them even though i searched for 4 hours in the dark.
That morning i found 7 of them next to my barn together. I put them in the coop and watered/fed them. A little later I found the eighth next to my house... And it was limping. On of its legs look straddled.

It wasn't lame before.... What could have crippled it? Is there any way to fix it??? Should i grow it up a bit and slaughter it?

first i would put him in a small confined area...like a small cage and put
inside of thier coop...keeping him seperate but still with his buddies...
i would give him niacin and poly-vi-sol (no iron) into his water...
,maybe even some 'sav-a-chick'...this will start to help him internally
and help with the shock of him being injuried and hopefully someone
with more experience can tell what might be best for you to do.

separating him really will help him to rest his leg/foot

good luck!

I just had a rooster with the same problem (yes I know, not a guinea! He was about the same age though) I caught it early on and made a little sling for him to sit/stand in, He didn't get better and I did end up having to cull him after about a week of trying. It got to a point where he had a real hard time getting to the food and I could tell his leg was getting worse. Good luck with your guinea!
