I was told cockrel by someone about a month ago but wanted to confirm now that she/he is older.

So I’m pretty sure it’s a girl because I don’t see any cockerel feathering but can I see the tail? That’s my tell.

At 4 months, most silkie boys are crowing. I agree no real rooster signs.

Most assuredly a female and I can't help wonder why anyone would say roo as it has no rooster characteristics at all. But, if they sexed by looking at a picture... well, pictures can be very deceiving.

Updated image of my silkie. S/he has taken to biting the back of the neck of one of my hens, but not crowing. Now s/he is close to 5 months old.
