4 week old BCM/?? Cross

This is a roo, correct?

Was supposed to be BCM but we think a Houdan roo might have contributed to this one….

Mom was definitely Maran. Dad was supposed to be but… Sunshine hatched very yelllow!

The first one is too early to tell. Give it a couple of more weeks. I see no evidence of Houdan parentage-- no crest, no fifth toe. Plus it has feathered legs and Houdans don't.

The second one does look pretty certain to be a cockerel. It might be part Silverudd, but it's not pure, as it has a crest and beard.
