We just found one of our 4 week old chicks sitting in the garden, hunched and eyes closed. I am going to assume coccidiosis even though we haven't noticed any bloody droppings (I haven't cleaned/looked yet today either). I have liquid Corid on hand.
I am thinking this one should get a direct dose? Just to confirm, direct dosage is .02ml/100g of body weight?
The other chicks look and act fine, but I am going to dose the whole flock in their water just in case - babies are broody raised so live with the flock.
If I direct dose the sick one, do I also dose its water or do I give plain water?
Thanks for any advice.

We have our chick inside and gave him the corid with a syringe a drop at a time in the front of the beak so he could swallow on his own and not aspirate.
We also just noted some bloody (iodine colored) discharge from one nostril. Enough that it ran down my daughter's arm. Breathing is fine, eyes are clear when open, not eating, drinking or pooping yet.
Does this still sound like coccidiosis or something else? I was going to bring the other chicks inside for observation until I saw the nasal discharge 😕

Is it possible he was pecked by the other chicks for being sick? The bleeding does seem to have stopped

He survived the night :). He is eating and drinking some. We gave him a second direct dose of corid and moved him outside since our one year old brooder plate died sometime last night😣(mom has weaned the chicks and house is at 78, but outside temps have been in 90s with 100+ heat index)
