Hi everyone. I have a 4 week old chick that seems to sleep a lot compared to her sister. Almost every time I go to check on them she is sleeping. I have seen her eat and drink a little and her poop looks normal. I've been weighing them almost every day to make sure they're growing and have been putting Cocciprol (amprolium) in their water for the last 4 days. When I take her and her sister out of the brooder for a little run around she's pretty active for a few minutes, running and flapping.

I might just be paranoid as I lost quite a few chicks before them suddenly without any obvious cause so I just want to make sure she's not sick?

What are you feeding?
Still on heat?
Fresh water every day?
Give some scrambled eggs and electrolytes
I'm feeding chick starter crumble 20% protein.
They have a heat lamp that she'll sleep around the edge of sometimes.
I change their water every day or a couple times a day.
I gave her some scrambled eggs and hse gobbled them up.

She's doing well. It turned out she had an upper respiratory infection so I gave everyone antibiotics in their water for a few days. Now she seems much better 😊
Hi my chick is behaving similarly, do you remember if her poop was a bit different? Was she sneezing and breathing a bit heavily?

From memory, her poop was a bit runny and had a bit of a bubbly oily appearance. She didn't sneeze but when she slept her breathing was a little heavy and she would breathe with her beak open a little.
