Well my naked necks are 4 weeks old and still tiny as could be. Compare them to a cornish at this stage and you would think they were day old. But here they are chilling in the sun and trying to take dust bathes. You will also see some hens in there as well.

Then to top it off yesterday morning right after the storms roll through I get a herd or turkeys in my yard.

Enjoy

I have a couple of naked necks that I hatched a week or so ago. I was interested to see yours at 4 weeks. Not what I was hoping for however. My chicks were huge and I hoped they might be added to a future meat bird project. I do know this though, my RIR's have grown quite quickly though not a real bulky bird, they will find their way into the meat bird project.

Well I have them on a 28% protein feed as well as they have been out from the brooder since week 2 and in my back yard an in the tractors.

They are funny as can be.
Challenging each other constantly

And when they extend that neck of theirs it is very long.

But they are a slow grower and will be at the process on July 1. Should be between 3.5 - 4 lbs from what I have seen and read. I am hoping so.

IMP,

Thanks for the note on the photo album. We have a lot going on. 3 batches of baby bunnies, 4 more due this week.

15 quail hatched out this week so my kids are loving them as much as the baby bunnies.

And then all the chickens in the back yard.
