4 wild chickens

Hi all,
My aunt recently gave me her 4 chickens that she could not have anymore. I believe 2 are black stars and the other 2 are sex links??? but we have no idea how old they are either. She was getting between 2- 4 eggs a day but now it has deminished to 1 every couple days for me. They have also been very affraid or skitterish there whole life due to not having people around them. 1. How do I figure out an approx. age?? 2. Will they every tame down?? It has been about 2 months now and I feel as though they get stressed out when ever anyone goes around them. I have recently started free ranging them too. Will treats help gain a trust with them??? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

i have a chicken and when i got her she was very scared of me now that i have had her for about 4 months and have been holding her and giving her treats a lot now she is much more friendly but not as friendly as my other chickens witch i have had since day one.

Treats will help. Once they really associate you with food it becomes easier. You can't tell a chickens age. They grow new feathers every year. Some say they can tell by the scales on their feet. But even if one could it would only be approximate as each bird and breed ages differently.
