4 wk old Grey Silkie. Am I a Pullet or a Roo?

Is it a a Blue or Grey Silkie?
Is it a Ms. or a Mr.?

Its really too young to know. Silkies are hard to sex, even when they are older. I'd post more photos when "it" is at least 8 weeks old.

I will say, "it" is very cute!

Hmmm...like someone said, silks are very hard to sex. I am by no means an expert. You could try posting pics to the silkie sexing thread. Read the first post to know what kind of pictures to post and also some tips. Someone will be able to help you there!

It's too young to know. I think it looks like a splash silkie, but it's tough to tell. Our silkie roo crowed at around 3 months, which is fairly early. He also started doing the "dance" around a week before the first crow. Watch for these sighns, and you should be able to figure it out at about 2-4 monthes IF IT'S A ROO: Very large, brain-like comb, up-right posture, keeping watch alot, a bit fiesty, more rough feeling feathers, crowing, and sometimes very sneaky (our rooster would slip through the fence of his enclosure), and also roo's (strangely) are smaller them the girls.

oh, and also roo's tend to have more mohawk like top knots, while females will have much rounder and larger ones. Look at my profile pic of my silkie girl Jule, her top knot is HUGE. sShe can't see very well, so we're thinking about giving her a "hair-cut".
