4wk Easter Egger Help!

Hi All,

I've been using your forum as a resource for the past few months as my wife and I raise chickens for our first time.We picked up two easter egger pullets (or at least labeled as such) from Tractor Supply. 4 weeks in and they're both starting to look like cockrels. Opinions?

Those are gold laced Wyandottes, not EEs. Second is a definite cockerel, the first is a probable cockerel.

The are Golden Laced Wyandotte's. Beautiful birds. First looks like a rooster and second I'm not sure.

I see wattles on both, with chick #1 being more pronounced and pinker. 4 week old with wattles, boys.

I see gold Wyandottes also. Although they appear to be boys, my Wyandottes pinked up and had wattles early, so hopefully you’ll get lucky. They can be really hard to sex early because of that.

Agreed. One is a single-combed GLW, but both are the same breed.

That's what I though, one single and one rose combed. Rose combs can be harder to sex.

I agree they are GLW and both cockerels. For reference, here's my GLW at 5 weeks old. No pink at all. She's around 9 weeks now and still not pink.
