Hey all, that age old question regarding gender haha

Pretty sure I have at least 1 if not 2 drakes. I could only get pics of 1. Some green iridescence on the tail feathers, heads and around the cheek area. My gut says drakes, what do ya'll think?

Its hard to see the green on the tail in pics but it's there, they also have darker feathering compared to one of the others that i don't noticed any green on

What do they sound like? Hens quack, drakes rasp

If they are vocalizing, you can tell by the “quack”. A female will have a very distinct and bold, easy to make out, quack. A male will sound more garbled. Almost as if he were mumbling. At least that’s the best way I can describe it. Now this does not apply to Muscovies , just mallard derived breeds.

Ok thats what I figured as well lol Toffee can be a boys name right? Lol

I've only heard 2 quack so far which are the 2 that have brighter feathering.

The 2 in question I haven't heard quack yet

I have a boy mallard named Angelina so I’m not judging lol
