I've got four chicks that are 5-6 weeks old and a 10-11 week old pullet who's recently out of quarantine. She has been in a crate in my coop with my two cockerels for the past couple weeks but as soon as I let her out they gang up on her very badly. I'm not supposed to have roosters so they're being rehomed very soon. I decided to try the pullet with my four chicks and despite the size difference they are doing amazing together. She was actually quite afraid of them at first, but seems very comfortable now. My question is, once I rehome the cockerels would it be alright to put the chicks out in the coop with the pullet? They're almost fully feathered, they'll have her for warmth and the coop is insulated.

I have three 3.5-week-old and three 6-week-old chicks... they're feathered out except for a few spots on their heads and have been in the outdoor coop alone for two weeks. I have the lamp on at night and let them in the outdoor section of their coop all day. Day temps are between 80-90 and outside nighttime temps don't fall below 65-70.

Is it ok to cut the lamp at night? I don't want them to get used to sleeping with a light.
