We got two female Cayuga's at two to three days old. They are growing well just one is a little smaller. i clean them twice a day and they are feed well along with watered. I'm a little concerned due to one that sneezes a little and has one swollen nostril. There is no leakage or running eyes. Please if anyone has advice lmk. Thank you.

They are in a tote with duck water dish food. I put the in tub every other day. I have been raising ducks for five yrs. Always same routine. First in tote then out back in large fenced in covered box and slowly introduced into large flock of 28 n two geese. Never had predator problem till this year, had four that where 8 weeks that got killed by either and owl or hawk. I plan on moving these two to outside in the next few days.

I am not seeing anything to be alarmed about? Ducklings sneeze as you know. Is this the enlarged nostril? Can you get a full pic of the duckling and of his head so that we can see his other nostril in comparison?
I saw that you posted this 3 times and you are getting advice from at least 3 different directions LOL (all duck owners, so that's good).

Lol. I couldn't find where my other posts are, I'm only seeing this one. I'm pretty new to the group. I used this over the winter on a frost bite situation.

I have a wooden framed pen which I cover with a large piece of wood. It has fencing tacked to it we have one rat that is under our den. Do you think it's safe to put them out? The other four we had didn't get bothered until the were out in the open n it was a predator that takes heads that killed the last four. We have alarms flock with two geese out there with them.

We have been trying catch or kill the rat.because on mallard has a nest under the den so we don't want it to kill her babies when hatch which is any day now. We have trieda have a heart train rate traps but its pretty smart n is not getting caught.
