Told my hubby I wanted to see what a cross between our mystery red hen and our EE rooster would look like. Just hatch 4 or 5 eggs to hopefully ge ta couple pullets. He happily set up the bator once we'd gather 5 eggs from her. When I looked in the bator this morning it was FULL! My 5 eggs and 35 of his banties.

yep, chicken math, that is how it starts. I started with 2 less than a year ago and now I have 60+ not including the quail hatching right now.

My husband has nothing to do with the chickens or the the eggs in the incubator unless I ask him to turn them for me while I am doing something else. All the "farm" animals are mine and I have to take care of them. He will help with building things that are needed for me to have my animals but that is all. He will also get feed since he goes into town daily to go to work. It would be nice to have room for more eggs in my incubator but 18 is about all that it will hold.
