Thank you so much! I wanted to use the plate since it's safer but I am just sticking with the light since that is what I have most experience with. They are tiny and had a really rough start so they may need it a little warmer than average but I think everyone was right, I had it too hot. I now have it 95 directly under the light and it's reading 80 at opposite side of brooder. All three are resting comfortably spaced out directly under the light and seeming much much more comfortable.
