Hi all, been reading on this site for a while now, great site. Unfortunately me and my family have to move out of state this month. I have 5 pekin ducks, 3 females and 2 males needing a home as soon as possible. These are pets not food. I live in northern Florida and would consider meeting if the distance isn't too far. I've already checked the local bird sanctuary and they had no room for them, they even had the nerve to tell me to drop them off at a pond where they knew people fed ducks. I'm in a fix but I could never leave them without someone specifically caring for them, I wouldn't rest if I didn't know they were safe. Again, these are pets and I would like them kept together if at all possible because the males really look out for the girls. If anyone is interested please contact me immediately, for a quicker response I can give you my email address.
Thank you!

I would take them all If i didn't live so far away, The only way for me to take them is by shipping.. Not sure if that would even to an option for you. The trip would be a nightmare for the ducks though.. I'll look around and see if anyone I know that lives close to you would want them.

Hi again everyone! I want to thank all of you who helped me get my ducks re-homed at a very safe place. Yesterday we went and turned them over to the BEAKS wildlife bird sanctuary. After the first re-homing attempt fell through, I called and the Director immediately said yes after I explained our recent situation. This place is awesome, they have birds walking around like they own the place. :D I spoke with the Director today and she told me they were all doing fine and that we did a fine job in caring for them because they were so healthy looking and had a good weight on them. The best part of our conversation was she told me we could drive down and volunteer to assist with the new babies this spring!:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy After crying my eyeballs out yesterday & today, I feel soooooo much better knowing they are safe and in a very good place knowing I'll see them again really soon.:yesss: :celebrate We couldn't have done none of this well without you wonderful people here on Backyardchickens.com! All of you are AWESOME:highfive:....keep doing what you're doing....it's making a HUGE difference! Thank you again!!!!!!!!!:love
