luckily we were outside with them and saw it happen and were able to scare away the hawk before it could do much more than dive at the chick. there are no visible wounds but she has a little blood coming from her beak and acting strange. she is also making a clicking noise. shes in my lap right now, i hope she'll be ok

I hope she'll be ok, too. I don't know of much of anything you can do, other than simple supportive care. She will probably be in shock for a while, and may not want to eat or drink at first. Hopefully, being with the other chicks will help her recover.

I wish you both the best of luck.

i think she's going to be ok, she's walking around and eating, but she still seems to be a little out of it. im so glad we were out there when it happened or i know it would have been a lot worse!

put out a cage with the chicks in it where this hawk can see them. place a bear trap lookin trap on top with the trap covered in debris. when you catch the hawk shoot it in the head. its perfectly legal cause your defending your live stock

It is, I guess paramedic was thinking of not telling anyone. but what about when the next one flies over or the one after that?

Just bothering a hawk is illegal. The "protecting livestock" clause does not apply to hawks or eagles. I've already been through this.
