5 week old chicks one dead this am

I have 10 chick all together 6 pourcelian D'Uccle and 4 Dominique's I have been bringing them outside durning the warm days in the run. They all were healthy last night. One of the smallest pourcelian D'Uccle was laying deas on the far side of the brooder l
This morning, any ideas?

I'm sorry about you losing one of your babies. I'm not the most knowledgeable with illness. Are they vaccinated or on medicated feed? Were there any signs of pasty butt?

The fact that it was the smallest chick probably had something to do with it. Failure to thrive, natural selection.. whatever you want to call it happens. Getting them outside during the day is healthy for them. If you continue to lose chicks, you might have a problem but if it's limited to this one, it's not a cause for concern.
