I am raising meat chickens for the first time. Have heard a lot of stories and am amazed at how fast they get so big. One went off its feet. Picked it up and it made noises of pain. Thought it had broke a leg. Have checked and cannot find any sign of broken leg. It will eat and drink, but does not move much else. Checked out site about Marek's. Seems possible. Am I headed for trouble with the other 24? Should I put this one out of its "misery"? Doesn't seem to be suffering other than when I pick it up to clean behind it. Am looking for advice and suggestions. Also, should I be concerned about the laying hen chicks I got at the same time? They are in a different coop away from the meat chickens. Also, no sign of problems with the other meat chickens at this time.
