These are my two blue olive eggers, first gen true lavender ameraucana x blue copper Marans. They are about 5 weeks old and I keep going back and forth about their gender. Let me know what you think :)
Edited to fix booboo

Chick 1 lighter, wider comb but still pretty flat and pale, maybe Roo?

Both together, lighter blue is chick #1 and darker blue is chick #2

Thanks for your feedback, I would love both to be pullets ( I can't have Roos) but my luck has not been so good lately lol

Thanks. I am wondering when I can be sure lol when does it becomes more obvious? I keep hearing ameraucanas/EEs/OEs are very difficult to tell for a while. Since these are blues, will they show any feathering gender specific coloring, like red in the wings ect?

I agree with the cockerel and pullet....

What color was the Ameraucana? Splash?

With a black copper parent, I'd expect a cockerel to get some red leakage at some point, but sometimes they're a few month old before it comes through.

So I made a boo boo, it was BLUE copper Marans roo x lavender ameraucana

It's still copper, so males will likely get red/copper leakage. Females might get some at the throat, like a black sex link hen.

Also, these olive eggers were hatched with pure Marans, bluecopper, black copper, and splash, and they already have the copper coming in but not a speck on the olive eggers... Tanget question, do splash Marans get copper also?
