5 week old well summer large black scab on back of neck Help plz

We have a mix of 17 5 week old chickens and just noticed this large scab like thing on the back of the ones neck today. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have vet care, that would be best.

Does the scab have an odor or any maggots coming out of it?
How deep does the wound go?

I would flush that with chlorhexidine or diluted betadine, then give it a bit of a scrub so you can see how deep that is. Let dry, then apply Vetericyn or triple antibiotic ointment.
You will want to monitor that closely and keep flies out of it.

Thanks for the response. There’s no odor or any signs of maggots or bugs on or around the wound. She seems normal eating and drinking doesn’t seem as if she’s bothered by it but will def clean it up and apply vetericyn thank you
