Fairly certain this is a pullet. Doesn't seem boyish to me at all.
BUT. . . what is she? Hen on the nest was said to be white with black splashing. That's all I know. 5 weeks old yesterday. Orp?

She is a people chicken. She's sitting under me right now as I'm typing. Too cute!

She's darling! Maybe she's orpington.....They do come in different colors. I have a lavendar orp cockerel, and a black orp pullet. They came from another member here on BYC, and I hatched them. She was trying to create a new color, called Isobel. Here's a pic of the cockerel:

Maybe she is a lavender orp?

Very cute, thanks for sharing!

Assuming she is . . . a she. Anyone see otherwise?
She is getting more black splash feathers. They are really coming out today. I think I'll end up with a Dalmation something chicken.

The only thing I notice that is different from my orps is that their beaks are black, while yours has a yellow beak.....

Not an Orpington - Wrong leg color, plumage color, and body shape.

Looks to me like a Splash Andalusian.

When they get bigger, tell me, are the earlobes getting red or white?

She's a singleton. Farmer gave an non-hatching egg left in nest to a city boy visiting the farm. Family starts driving home and chick starts to hatch out. I adopted her at 4 weeks when their dog started using her as a mouth piece.

I will look for the earlobe color and pass that on.
