5 week old with crusted eye?

One of my little banties has one eye that keeps crusting over. If I use a warm washcloth to carefully remove the crust the eye opens back up, stays open, shows no overt signs of injury and no drainage. Any ideas? Do I need an opthalmic antibiotic ointment for her?

YES........at Wal-Mart its called Puralube Ointment Petrolatim Ophithalmic Sterile Ocular Lubricant cost about 2-3 bucks, in the eye care dept, solutions eye drops etc.....just smear it over the eye, directions say ok to get in the eye, it will keep eyes from crusting over lube them 3-4 days will be better, did this myself and answered many post , who replied back stating it worked for them to, very inexpensive , Good Luck
