5 Weeks — cockerel or pullet?! 🐣

Hatched 4 chicks about 5 weeks ago & now I’m trying to determine their sex! Any thoughts?

(I am not sure of their breeds—
fertilized eggs came from a farm with lots of different breeds!)

They all look like cockerels except for the lone black one. I would watch that one on the left in the first picture though. It has markings like a pullet even though the comb says rooster.

Bird on the right in the first picture is definitely a cockerel, one on the left probably is too. Bird in the second picture looks like a pullet so far

Looks like you have 3 cockerels in the first pics and 1 little black pullet.

Could you post a close-up of the head of the one on the left in the first photo? Looking at comb and wattles. Also, a photo of the same bird showing the legs and general posture? Heavy legs and an upright posture generally mean boy.

The black one is a girl. Skinny legs, general body shape, and posture show that. The wattles and red comb and wattles show the other two are boys.

The large comb on the one in questions suggests it is a boy but the comb looks kind of yellow instead of red. No wattles yet is a girl indication but not sure. Looking at the legs and posture might be enough to convince me one way or the other but I'm thinking a third boy.

3 cockerels and the one on her own is a pullet

I'll be odd man out and say the one on the left is female.
One in the back is female

I can see that. The one on the left is not as red.

Unless I'm wrong
