hi, I’m a new member and here is my gang! I know it’s still early, but does anyone want to try and guess their gender?
they were 10 days old when they arrived, they are 5 weeks old now (pictures are from today).
number 4 and 5 developed earlier than others, they already had some tails when they arrived and I guess they could be female, as they are also more quiet. number 2 and 3 stand usually more “vertical” and are more naughty. they were smaller at the beginning, but now are growing fast and number 2 is already almost bigger thant 4 and 5.
combs are still yellow in all of them and I defintely saw bigger combs at this age in other threads, but maybe mine are just slower?
I think 1, 2 and 3 could be males, because they were so slow with feathering, still combs seems small, what do you think?
they are going to be pets, so gender is not really important, I’m just afraid that if they were 3 roosters and 2 hens they would be fighting a lot.
I don’t have any experiences with chickens, any opinion is welcome.
thank you!
p.s. not sure about the breed either!
