It started last winter when she lost a lot of weight, but we got her eating and gaining weight again. About three weeks ago she began limping and I took some advice on the forum to give her a probiotic and calcium/vitamin D. She seemed to bounce back a bit but now she cannot walk well at all, is lethargic and tired. Advice (besides culling please)?

She may have egg yolk peritonitis or salpingitis from internal laying and infection. Cancer is also common in older hens. Is she still eating and drinking or enjoying being with her flock? It may be time to consider ending her suffering if the answers are no. Does her crop empty by the next morning? A chicken sling chair might be something to get her up and in front of food and water. Here are some examples especially in post 5, 11-14:

This one is also good:

Thanks for your quick reply :) Yes she has an appetite and her coop-mates want to be close to her. I have her in a setting very similar to what you have shown here.
