I have a 5 yo RP turkey that i believe had/has black head which I treated with metronidazole, as well as fenbendazol, tylan an cayanne pepper. He seemed to rally for a few days and now has taken a downward spiral. I have discontinued the use of the meds since it was a 5 day course, He has gone from volunteer drinking to not wanting water and hasn't wanted food since the start, going on 7-8 days now. He is isolated and safe and as comfortable as I can make him. This came on super suddenly and I believe I lost one hen already to it, but she went too quickly for me to tell. He is not panting but breathing through his mouth, and I have checked but do not see any sort of worm in his throat. He is very special to my family and I and we are all worried sick. Should I put him back on the meds? If so which ones? I don't want to stress his body any more than it already is. I've been giving him glucose as well. He is keeping his feet curled up and under him as much as he can, and when I try to straighten them he can not walk on them and hasn't been able to walk for a couple days. Last night I gave him glucose in yogurt to try and establish good gut flora and crushed up a vit B tab since i figured it couldn't hurt him and thought it would help his feet. When it first started he was staggering around like he was drunk. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. If this needs to be in the turkey or other fowl section, I'm sorry and will repost this there if told. thank you anyone.

other important info
poop was yellow/white bubbly and runny a week ago, now it is a darkish towards black fluid that isn't clumpy or have any real shape
has access to clean fresh water and crumbles which he has ignored the later
was alert and would focus until last night now he seems to not really be "with it"

I have tylan injectable on hand as well as the other drugs

He might have a secondary e. Coli infection (several of mine did), which you would need to treat with something like Baytril. Your best bet would be to take him to a vet and have them do a fecal smear/stain to check for a bacterial and/or fungal infection. You should also weigh him and start tube feeding him or he will die, IMNSHO.

Curiously, how much metronidazole and fenbendazole did he get and how did he get it?

Since he hasn't been eating, he's probably hypoglycemic, and if that's not corrected, it can also cause coma and death. I usually tube a few cc's of corn syrup into them when they haven't been eating.
