5 yr old pet rooster having trouble walking

Hello, my pet rooster, Mosi Bindi, has been having trouble walking since this past week. My father took him to a bird vet and they said he has an infection and so he's been put on antibiotics. His infection was caused by a wound near his rear. He's only 5 years old so I'm hoping he'll have a full recovery.

Have any of you ever had this problem? If so, did your rooster recover?
