I have this hen named Mohawk whose mother is a buff orpington and father is a amercana (sorry if i spelled that wrong). The fathers breed lays green eggs and the mother lays brown. Lately I've been finding eggs in the molasse tub she roosts on at night and there is green and brown eggs I've limited the suspects to her and her mother and an americana hen. I have evidence about either of them laying in the tub and i was wondering if a hybrid hen can lay 2 different color eggs?

Sometimes the shading can change, but color remains the same, green will always lay green, and brown will lay brown. With my Americana mixes, one lays brown, and one used to lay green.
