Is this really true that certain pigeons can cost $500 each? I texted the seller and maybe he doesn’t speak English correctly but he said his pigeons range from $50 to $500 each.

Yep, it's true! but they are only worth that if the buyer is willing to pay that amount! Asking price doesn't always mean that's the 'buying price'!
