I have a 5-6 week old silkie named dinosaur and he has a very spacious cage (6 square feet) all to himself (he’ll be with the other chickens once he’s a bit bigger) which gives more than enough space to stretch and flap his wings, but he never does. It’s always the first thing he does when I let him out. His body is about the size of my two average sized fists, without his head or legs. Does he have enough space? Or is he just excited to be able to come out and play? I do not understand...

Also, he yawns a lot in the afternoon. Like A LOT. Sometimes like every 5 seconds...

6sqft, like 2' x 3'...or 6' x 6', which would be 36sqft?

The 'yawning' could be it adjusting it's crop.
What are you feeding it?

2x3

I still have him on medicated chick starter
