So I've got this chicken who does this weird behavior every time my dogs come around. Now I already have suspicion that it is a Roo but not quite sure yet. Not sure if this is a Roo thing but none of my other chickens to this. This is not a dust bath thing either. I tried to get a good video of it. Please tell me what you think:

If you click on the picture is should bring you to a link of the video...

I could be wrong, but what I see is a chicken trying to look bigger and fierce. Chickens are very much individuals and will respond to (what they percieve to be) threats in different ways.

It's very hard to tell from the angle, with the chicken sitting down, but I really don't see anything about that chicken that screams "I'm a Roo!". Actually reminds me of how a broody hens flares up and clucks when she's disturbed.

The reason I believe she is a he is because of the body style and stance compared to the other White Rock. (S)He doesn't have a tale like Polly and her/his stance is very leggy and tall. He/she also tends to "chest bump" and push the others around. Also, when they were about 4 weeks, Polly's feathers were completely in, while GG (the possible Roo) feathers were still mostly chick fuzz... While his comb isn't red by any means it is pinker at the base and a bit taller than Polly's. IDK... its just suspicion. I know it is too early to tell. I just think its weird that GG does this every time my dogs are around, which are never with them unsupervised.

I would love to hear other people's reactions as well.

Here is another pic of GG standing...

Yes, that pic is much better for guessing gender, although I'd like to see a side view. Does look suspicously like a baby roo.

Here are a few more views of GG:

The last one has both of my White Rocks. Polly, the definite girl, is fluffed up preening, and GG is facing the wall.
