Hello Everyone,

I am offering pure breed Araucana hatching eggs. I have two Araucana Roosters. One is a clean face rumpless Lavender and the other is a Blue spotted Clean Faced rumpless. My Araucana hens are 3 Black Hens, 1 Lavender, and 1 Blue with some brown on her neck.

Let me know if you have any questions and feel free to look at my Araucana page to get an idea of some of my birds.

Thank you for looking,
Beth

Are these large fowl or bantam? How many of the hens are tufted? Of the chicks that you have hatched, how many were tufted?

** EDITED**

Hi Mary,

Sorry for the quick answer before. I was outside with my dogs walking in the pouring rain getting my smartphone all wet so I cut it short. The ones I am breeding right now are all Large Fowl. I had a blue hen that was more like a bantie but, I sold her. All of my hens are tufted except one black clean faced. Out of the 8 chicks all but one was tufted however, I had alot of chick-n-shell deaths b/c I was using the Tufted Black Rooster before. He has since been sold locally to someone here in CT. He was sold the middle of last week and was separated before that. If I breed the clean roo's to the tufted girls the tufted chick ratio is going to go down. You may get 25-40% tufted, and the rest clean faced. There is no saying what will happen with the tufted gene. I personally am no longer breeding tufted to tufted b/c I can not handle all the chicks that were developed and died

If you have anymore questions please feel free to PM me.

Thanks,
Beth

Were these chicks sired by the tufted roo?

Quote:
Yes some were and some were not. For better fertility I had 3 rooster over all my hens in a huge turnout pen daily. There was a Black tufted, Lav clean faced, and Blue clean faced roosters in with them up until 3/31/2011. I pulled and separated him after that and now only the Lav and Blue roo are with the girls. The Black Tufted was sold last weekend.

Hi Beth G.

Glad to see you are selling your Araucana eggs. I am so pleased with my hatch! Granted my were Araucana/EE Crosses but, I have 5 tufted rumpless babies out of all the eggs. Wish I got on here earlier to bid on these. Now my incubator is empty

Will you be selling more?

Thanks
